This work is about an investigation of the self through the body. Our process guides us to explore the complexity of our thoughts, by trusting the impetuosity of our physicality. Is it possible to trace our selves by just allowing our body parts to “speak” for us? Could we frame our past through a phenomenological exploration of moving bodies?
Yes.
Our movements become voices and there are no rules that could control their flux. They are clear, defined and powerful. They are able to bridge the gap between our rational and irrational parts, between who we were and who we are.
During these explorations, my body abandons my logical and premeditated approach to movement. It becomes the protagonist of an unknown travel, where each movement is a moment with a precise temporal and spatial connotation. This piece reveals the complexity of our souls, through the simplicity and impetuosity of our movements.
The movement is our toy and we are the children playing with it.
