What an amazing night.
I would say the perfect ending to this journey.
Resolution has been an incredible opportunity, which gave me the impulse to develop and work on my first full-length work after my graduation. If I have to be honest, I would have never expected to be selected first of all. It’s a huge festival and so many people are involved, which makes it one of the most important events in contemporary dance industry in UK. I belief that if you have an opportunity like that you need to try to take the most you can from it. Not just because your name is going to be exposed there in the contemporary dance industry, I believe you need to do it for yourself. I understood that if you are very passionate about your work, and you are very dedicated and committed, so many people are willing to collaborate with you. And it is exactly what happened to me.
Honestly working with all these beautiful people is the most rewarding thing I have ever done, and definitely it paid off all the hard work it was needed to be done.
The piece was performed beautifully… and it made me so proud of the work I have created with such sensible and talented artists. So many people came along and supported us. It also gave me the motivation to keep going and start creating a new piece… maybe soon, who knows!
But now, maybe the only thing I feel I need to say is just thank you. Thank you to all the people I’ve met in the past months, who somehow inspired me in the creation of this work and made it became what it was few days night on stage. Thank you to all the people who came and supported us, for the beautiful words you told me about the piece… I feel very blessed and touched, it meant a lot to me. Thank you to all the people who just thought about us, even if you were not able to come and you just dropped me a message.
Thank you Lidia for your beautiful pictures, I am so looking forward to meet with you and start woking on something new together.
The biggest thank you goes to my beautiful dancers, Mau, Kieron and Chelle. These incredible artists have been the essence of this piece and made me so proud of the result.
…and of course thank you Davide, to hold my hand and make me feel safe in every rollercoaster and make each of them the most exciting thing ever.
